    Gee. I've been away from AULRO for 2 1/2 years, and I come back, and discover that Digger is STILL having issues with his Defender. It's just like I'd never been gone!

    Another 7 pages of posts since I last posted on this thread 2.5 years ago and it doesn't read any better than the first 10. Sorry to read of all your tribulations Digger + hitting a kangaroo to boot! That car is cursed...

    While I'm not going to comment on the OP's ongoing issues.

    I haven't seen any reference to known obvious failures coming up (I mention them to customers at that round 70K).
    *Clutch failures on 2.4 and now I've done almost the same amount of clutches on 2.2
    *Adapter shaft between gearbox and transfer case.

    If they are original, expect failures shortly.
