Thanks for the feedback and pics Kelvin, it's great to finally see the new bar fitted to a Defender. As with any new product there will likely be some minor tweaks to do.
The design of the PTO bar was based on keeping the winch in exactly the same position as before, so the drive shaft would fit straight on, but if the winch can be moved back a little, this might be one of the 'tweaks' to be made.Quote:

I've got three of the electric winch version at the powder coaters now, including one with DRL's recessed into the main tubes, so hopefully I'll have some pics of these soon.
The one with the DRL's was going to go on my County, but I had to let it go to a customer :(.......oh well, I'll just have to wait for mine.

The bar looks good!
I like it.
And it sticks out a little more on the sides and a little lower on the front, giving a bit more protection for the guards than the other makes of tube bars.
Saving my pennies for a rear wheel carrier first though. (Rijidij of course).

are those swivel recovery points on either side of the winch tray?
I wonder how they would go on anything other than a straight line pull...
most recovery points on bars are usually the most forward in comparison to anything on the bar, I thought..
These look like that would make contact with the tray of you were bridle pulling at an angle
Scroll back up and you will notice my original recovery hooks are still in place.....they were tucked behind on the old bar as wellQuote:

im not talking about winching from a bridle im talking about being towed or snatched
Just went outside for a look......no chance of a bridle using the swivel points whether it be winching, snatched or towed
Again I have never used a bridle for snatch recoveries or towing.....
I have left the recovery hooks in place as they are lower and clear the cradle.......the hooks would allow me to use a bridle if I were to buy one
I am considering replacing the hooks with jate?? I think that's what they are call recovery points
