ATO has a lot on exempt vehicles, but it's complex. For example if you add bullbar & winch it lowers % for cargo available. Bur def 110 is on the yes list, nominally.
Hey if I can get my head round the FBT rules I'll try to pass on this information. Some vehicles qualify as FBT exempt. When they talk about eligibility of dual utes for example one criteria is the payload being over 1000KG. I tried to call the ATO yesterday to get more information but they're too busy with May 15 deadlines for company tax lodgement and my call didn't get through.
And yes more than happy to offer our wine at mates rates to people on the forum who like Adelaide Hills and Barossa Valley wine. I might struggle to send it to PNG though sorry.....
Cheers
A special run
Defender Red
Series Port
And of course
RR Chardonnay :D
Did you find the ATO FBT page ok?
Yeah been looking over the ATO site thanks. One comment I saw was Def 110 is not automatically exempt. On a positive note I guess that means it can be exempt if certain criteria is met.
Rangie Chardonnay. I quite like that actually. I'm picturing a 1970s 2 door perched at the top of the vineyard. Anyone got a nice example for a photo shoot in the Adelaide Hills? We have some of our museum and reserve Chardonnay I need to label and release to the market.....
Later this year we'll release our 2009 Barossa Valley Shiraz. For sure that'll feature an iconic Land somewhere in the vineyard.
It's a hell of a steep property, thick clay soils and you need a serious 4x4 with mud tyres to get around when it's wet. I've had our old Cruiser ute bogged for days. My series 11A Landy used to get around very nicely though. Must admit I'm a little nervous about the anti stall on the Defender for descents. There are sections on our property where losing control could be serious accident. We basically have to do all vineyard work and picking by hand which is fine because it suits our wine.
Anti stall isn't new... Diesels have had it for decades - it was called a Governor back then...
Td5 300tdi and Isuzu etc all do the same
Hey Bemm52,
I should've said congrats on the purchase. Did you go for a tray top or ute body for your 130? And out of curiosity what made you pick the 130. I think they're great, the only dual cab ute on the market with coil springs.....It has surprised me sales volumes never really took off as they're much better off road than say a hilux.
