Registering change of ownership with LRA

I'm finally getting around to filling out the change of ownership card which I will submit to Land Rover Australia.
Looks like I have some info that is not up ton scratch, and will need some help finding.

    1. What is a 'warranty reference number' and where would I find it? This is an item on the change of ownership card.
    2. Where do I find the Locking wheel nut number?
    3. I was not issued the emergency key access code with the owner's manual. Is this listed anywhere else (ie part of the VIN or chassis number?)

Happy to take any advice via PM if it's sensitive on the open forum.
Completing this will allow LRA to get in touch with any recalls etc, which appears may be underway.

So by the looks, either my thread title makes no sense, or there is not many new defender owners here

This is the security info card that is supplied with a new deefer. I've blanked out some parts to keep things confidential.

Radio info is defunct, as I have a non factory radio.

Upon inspection the locking nut has either a very bad 1 cast into it, or it is just that- a casting mark.

I'm still unable to locate the "emergency key access code". This is important as it allows the engine to be un-immobilized should the key fob battery die.
According the the dealer, the defender doesn't have one (despite the owners manual stating otherwise).

Does anyone have an idea of how many digits the key access code is?
Has anyone ever even had to use it?
There is an alpha-numeric string of characters printed on the bottom of the card, but it's too long to be a useful disarming code (13 characters).
I'm hoping to get this info while I can in case I ever need it- I'll be screwed if I don't have it.

The EKA code (emergency key access) is 4 digits I believe. It's the one you use to do the ignition-key-turn-count thing when the fob is cactus. You're not alone in trying to find out what it is, we've owned ours 18 months from new and still yet to find out what it is. Saying that I haven't chased them hard (dealer), just a couple of calls were they know what I'm talking about but don't have it to hand, "we'll call you back with it" ... but never do.

We've only done one real semi-remote trip so far so haven't been overly stressed about it but the longer I leave the harder I guess. It is handy to have I would say, you don't need to be remote to need it, see the Wallan services thread here, handy in that situation too.

    Good luck.

Thanks for that, the dealer was not 100% certain with what this code is either. But they will look into it with the next service (the turbo hose recall)
Being proactive will mean that I should never have to be stranded if for example, I go swimming with keys in my pocket or if I Pack the keys in a bag, and something depresses the button for a long period of time. Hypothetical situations which could easily lead to a stranded situation.

Regarding the alphanumeric code on the bottom of the sheet pictured above, it starts with LRL , then 9 digits, then ends with A
Not sure if this means "Land Rover", "Left Right Left" or if it's just a land rover publication number for internal use (ordering reprints etc).
None of the numbers relate to my VIN or anything like that. Does the chassis have its own unique number? This might be somethign to look at. I know Toyota radio security codes are a portion of the VIN number. It makes sense to have this EKA code related to the vehicle as opposed to being on a whole different database.

    G'day guys,

As far as the EKA goes, when I bought my 90 it also didn't have the EKA within the wallet. I questioned the dealer (Alto) and also their service dept, they told me when I had the car next serviced the dealer would be able to retrieve the EKA from the ECU, wrong, obviously they were too lazy to do anything as they knew I would be having the car serviced elsewhere.

Anyhow, to the dealer in Canberra where I have all of my services and work done, while there for a service I asked them about it and they advised me the only way was for them to contact the mother country (England) and they would supply the EKA for my vehicle. A couple of days later I received a phone call from the dealer with the EKA.

    Mick

PS. Yes it is a 4 digit code.
