I found that if did a lot of short journeys the motor would become sluggish, however after a 50/100 k run performance would be restored.I attribute this to the cat becoming coked up. Factory engineers are in my opinion are more interested in obtaining type approval.
Short journeys isn't the cat plugging up. It's everything plugging up. Including your turbo vanes.

A decat won't help as diesels without a cat have the same problem.

Having fitted the mid silencer straight through pipe would like to finish it off as it is sounding great and will only sound better/run better.

Was thinking any exhaust shop could make one up as the shipping to NZ is absolutely horrendous.

    Thank you

    Hey, Bob.

    Hope things are well.

I found this post and saw you trying this is a few years back and I’m trying this again in Aus.

I’m trying to work out what the differences are between the Defenders sold in Aus and UK in terms of specs and compliance related things.

Could you do me a massive favour and maybe share your PUMA vin with me? I just want to use VIN Decoder (or similar website) and see what the diffidence is between the UK models and AUS models. Thats the only way I’ll know if I can get a UK one here. I wouldn’t ask but the local LR HQ asked me to tell them what exact car I’m getting and idk yet because I can’t work out what the difference is and thus can’t tell if the one’s I’m looking at in the UK are compliant.

I’d really really appreciate it if you could help.
