I fitted these to my Puma Defender and they are not as good as mates JW Speakers but they are much better than the standard lights. Sharp cut off of light though but great when used with a LED light bar as well (mine was a 20"). Haven't got any pictures but I did not regret fitting them and they were easy to fit. There is a thread on here with pics from a while back when I was looking for LED headlights, shows the comparison of light thrown including video. Should come up in a search.

I got a pair in Melbourne for $200ea, my first choice was the JW Speakers, but the best I could find was $500ea (local price).

The light pattern is called a Universal Military Pattern. It's high in the centre and drops off to the sides, making it suitable for RH & LH drive roads.

The High Beam is good, the low beam features a couple of X shaped focal points in the middle that are a bit distracting. The light is crisp and it lights the sides well.

I"ll try to find the name of the supplier I got them from and post it on this thread.

Would you reckon just LED lights would be enough not to warrant a lightbar/spotlights?

Hi Ranga, depends on your driving I reckon. For me living down the end of a dirt road with lots of roos and close bush I still need extra light, in my case a 120w 20" light bar. I need the extra spread you get to the sides as well as the extra light down the road. My mate who does long distance driving has his JD Speakers + light bar + HID spots as the light bars only throw a relatively short distance down the raod, unlike the spots. If you are doing very little night driving then maybe the headlight upgrade is enough, however, light bars are so cheap anyway....... and remember, the headlight LED's don't really throw that much more light, the light is whiter and easier to see things by and gentler on the headlight switch if you haven't done the Traxide loom upgrade and less eyestrain, but I reckon you still need something else if you do a reasonable amount of night driving.

Not a hope, unless you never drive at night.

The UK guys seem to think that the "Nolden" brand are excellent,..all good reports about them,...a bit cheaper than Speakers too. Don't know who sells 'em here though.

back to my previous post below - yes, and yes they were worth it but you still need something more as the high beam is still inadequate.
