Not sure if the transit plugs are the same. When mine were ordered in they originally had 2 correct ones and 2 incorrect. They sent back the incorrect.
It has recurred recently but as yet I have not fitted the new plugs. Double glowing it with the key will help some I found.

I have been double and triple glowing to try and alleviate the issue, with limited success.
Do you happen to remember the part numbers/ brand of the correct plugs you got?
NGK seem to have the best reputation from the research i have done.
And the part number for the Transit is Y-548J, hopefully the same as the defender as i can get a set of 4 for $96.00

Hi Lachlan,
I cant remember the part number but can check when I get home. I got genuine and they were only $30 ish each anyway. You will also need the intake manifold gaskets etc as apparently that has to come off to refit the plugs.
