Sounds like i should be buying a spate and learn how to put it in before I go anywhere too remote...
Am I being paranoid or is this ridiculous.
They are saying there is potential for the wheel assembly to come off the vehicle and they plan to put a bracket to stop it.
shouldnt they replace the whole axel??
Is that legal?
Once again am I being a sook and should just allow a bracket to be the solution.
My hub seals have failed 3 times and Im going in again for the 3rd to be replaced.
Wow, just wow.......
Amazing that they have the gall to call that PO48 idea a repair and then add insult to injury be reminding you they won't charge you for not effecting a proper repair to their design or manufacturing defect. This is the sort of crap that Today tonight or A current affair would usually like to air. So glad I have an old one - that is slow, noisy and leaks even during foggy mornings but doesn't fall apart - except for the rusty bits :)
It took 3 failed attempts, replacing leaky front RH hub seals, before they told me there was some "faulty machining" and replaced the whole hub assembly.
The hub replacement has stopped the leak and the wheel hasnt fallen off!
I wonder if this is related to the issue being discussed here?
So this does not affect 90's from 2011/2012 then?
what is the difference in the front end?
Leroy.
