Difference between 110 and 130

Hi

I've got both a 110 wagon and 130 dual cab

The longer wheelbase improves ride and directional stability - great on dirt roads.
No flexy rear door on the 130 to let in dust into the cabin on long trips.
HVAC works better on 130 due to smaller cabin volume.

130 really is too big and throws too wide a steering arcs around town parking, etc. etc. Really does have a ramp over problem too over washouts.

In my experience 130 for desert touring (heaps of room) and carting stuff 110 for around town work and tight tracks.

I know its dicey to use wikipedia as a source, but I was going off this quote:

To be honest, I dont work at Solihull so cant be 100% either. But ive stuck my head under 130s from 200tdi through to pumas. They all have a long fish plate c section on the midsection. Not sure why they couldn't just cut out one length chassis rails if doing a dedicated 130 chassis?

regardless chassis is fine and doesnt give too much trouble. A small amount of cracking in the rear can appear in worked 130s over rough roads but doesn't tend to lead to failures.

i just changed from a 110 to a 130, both pumas. the turning circle in both of them was terrible. the biggest difference i have noticed so far is the ride. Much more firm.

the length aint so bad. still throw her arond a parking lot just as well as the 110.

Not sure what you mean by a long "C" section, mine has continuous rails but an outrigger is repeated 17" apart. I like my 130 for long distance work but for me it's a little large to wheel for fun. The turning circle is large in both I guess though.

I think I know what you're getting at, the overlap section. Also a crossmember and outrigger are duplicated.
