    Front Runner Side Table Storage

I'm trying to figure out how to store the side table on or under the roofrack and could use some creative suggestions....for my head is tiring of being scratched.

The table has two pins on one side which stick out approximately 10-15mm (with which is attaches itself to the brackets on the side of the car when in 'table' mode), so normal slides can't be used.

Ideally I'd like the table to go under the roofrack but as I have so much space up there, it's ok to go on top.....I just want a neat way of storing it.

    Storage solution requirements:
    • Easy and quick
    • Weather proof
    • Can be stored and removed without needing to get up onto the roofrack
    • Doesn't rattle

    What say ye, Landy people?

My table is stored at the rear of the roof rack; is there any reason why the Front Runner table storage hardware won't work for you? It is two "Z" shaped brackets loosely holding the table and a latch bolt - easy enough to kit bash yourself I would imagine.

The reason I can't use those slides is because one side of the table has two large pins sticking out of it.

So, for that side, I need a different solution.

Yes, mine has the pins and mounts to the side of the Defer too - in fact you can see one of the pins in my photo. The slides still work and I have about 80,000km with my table up there to prove it. The brackets are set so that they are wide enough apart that the pin and table combined width just slides in between them and holds the whole lot laterally. The bracket is wide enough that it still supports the table.

The Front Runner table storage works well. The pin with the spring sits just outside the brackets on my setup You fit the latch at the same end of the table as the pin with the spring.

I use a similar system, but have some aluminium Z mounted under the shelf covering the drawer in the back. There's just enough space over the drawer to slide the table in. It stays clean and I can use it for lunch by sliding it half out
