Yes they make a fine product & what they don't know about filtration we probably don't want to know.
As they say thou " till the filter reaches it's maximum restriction level " & as little as 300 grams can be catastrophic to an engine! 
So tell me, how do you know when this point has been reached? As I said before without some form of measurement on restriction to the intake system.
Due to ignorant / arrogant & sometimes both, CRAP is exactly what I see & clean out of intake tracts every week. 
I don't just read about it! I see it & the consequences it causes.
If I can run a clean rag through my intake with little to no contamination showing on it that's good enough for me, compared to what I see coming through the workshop.
As I said by all means carry out the servicing resume they you feel works for you, it's as easy as that.
 
As for manufactures not setting ridiculous service intervals on vehicles to help sell them to various "fleets"  any one that thinks " sealed for life auto trannys is isn't a load of CRAP :Rolling: needs there head read!
