According to the Heritage brochure - still waiting for a hard copy, there will be a total of 2,654 of these models built to the most demanding specifications. I did ask if this means that it won't leak, the salesman just smiled He did mention that there were only 5 per dealer, so with 39 dealers Australia wide that makes about 195 in total for Australia. So with 400 in the UK our 195 you have to wonder where the other 2059 will go?

For info only 2,277 of the Adventure models worldwide.

    Ha!

Yes.. All European cars sold in OZ are 'highly specced' compared with cars sold in the UK or Europe. Cuise, a/c, etc etc are usually options up North!

OZ living does have many advantages!

The 76 and 79 series Land Cruisers don't have A/C as standard, you pay extra for it,you do get nice vinyl seats though . Pat

Umm, bob this is trolling mate
    Prado: $62,000-104,000.
    Defender $49,000-60,000
    Value gone. POP!
Resale, at 3-4 years old Prado gx or gxl is at least $20,000 below their retail price, the $105,000 Kakadu is over $40,000 below retail ouch that's serious depreciation at 30-40%. Same year defenders are between $5,000 and $15,000 below retail which is less than 10% to almost 30%.
    Value gone again, POP!
Calpable? Lower carrying capacity in both kg(660 to defender 1050) to and bodies. POP!
To carry same bodies you must buy gxl 15-20,000 extra POP!
Towing is one thousand kg less POP!
If you spent half the price difference between the playdough and the defender there is no way any factory playdough would keep up in any serious off-road situation. POP!
Enough fantasy bubble popping , back to dreaming of a green heritage 7 seat 110.
I know it irks some but the reason a defender has such good resale compared to not just playdough but also other LR's is its ease of modifyability. This is a feature I hope the next generation doesn't lose.

I was hoping some one would come to the rescue. Good for you. BTW, a troll is a despicable character , looking only for negative outcomes. I would like to describe myself as a nudger. Nudging true believers into showing their true colours. My wife prefers the word bludger, [ only since I've retired.] Bob
I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

Surely bob should be encouraged for finally making a post relevant to land rovers?

And surely you should be castigated, for suggesting that. Or should it be castrated, I'm not sure. What a precious lot you little land rover urchins are. Bob

If you.look through my posts you will see i am not precious, nor a land rover apologist like many on here. However i have wondered why you are on a LR forum, since 99.99% of your posts have nothing to do with land rovers... i think it is a good thing you are finally posting content relevant to land rovers, and should be given a gold star and a pat on the back.
