Trouble with Isuzu's is Isuzu won't release the software for them unless you pay for it,the cost makes it uneconomical unless you are servicing a large fleet so getting help in remote locations is impossible. In the Pilbara we had to send them via a flatbed or pay for a mechanic to come into Newman or out on site,it cost stupid money for nothing more than a bloke to reset the codes and they threw faults as if was a normal thing. When I was with Downer they were getting rid of the road trucks and going to Hino's and the offroad trucks were being changed to Canters.I would not travel in remote Aust in one,no chance at all. Pat
Also Canters and Isuzus need the suspension replaced for 4x4 work, they don't have a good low range ( Iveco low- low- 1st is 101:1 ) they don't have diff locks, they don't have super singles . you have to spend a lot of money to get them good for outback work, then they are still noisy and ride like ****.
The iveco is as quiet as a 2WD car (unless you have MT's) and very smooth on corrugations. (not so smooth on bumpy bitumen roads tho)
Iveco also don't release the computer code, but at least you can buy cloned copies of the Iveco Diagnostics, $5000 but sure beats being flat topped to a capital city. !!
Im picking up the dual cab this weekend hopefully. That module does look good. I'll just be camping out of the back of it for a little while initially then start my process of justifying a module to the wife. It's always a work in progress. I still dont know how I got the Daily through the door, maybe she is
vulnerable being pregnant.:D
Yes, I sent the link in an email to Ivecocare. Looking at my webpage stat log it seems to have gone viral in the world of Iveco and it look like they are pulling the stops out to address owners concerns. I've been contacted by Daily Product Manager at HQ and wants to meet up, also another owner has finally been replied to about a longstanding complaint and finallyyesterday I put in a poly bush (just the centre rear TC mount) and its transformed the truck, I had no idea it had gotten that bad. Its better than new and eliminated all backlash ( after a LandRover I thought the backlash was normal :wasntme:)Quote:
They are aware of diff seal problems and are trying to find out what's causing it. They are also (now) aware of the soft transfer case mountings and are working on a solution. He also mentioned that they implementing a program for the supply of special tools to Dealers. It seems the the giant has awoken.
heres a video of it fixed with polybush
