Nice returns there Andy.
Where you are showing km/litre should state litres/100km
Cheers,

After a fairly long trip to Melbourne and back i was surprised by the fuel figures, especially how low they can get if driven conservatively. I would say the full length empty front runner roof rack i couriered Coffs Harbour to Melbourne made minimal impact, however when you gun it up the Newell
So with the Cruise Control on at a steady 100 you should expect low 8's
The low fuel burn has me stumped, but i have double checked the figures and always filled to the second click.

By all means get a Defender. If you get a good one, you'll be happy. If you get a bad one, you'll become a philosopher.

Do MY15 Defenders have a cruise control option or am I reading things wrong
Cheers Paul
Well, I can get 9.5 to 10.5 l/100K usually, about 28/29 MPG, in our 90, but I'm baffled by your 7.6?
Pickles.
So I am, but double checked the fuel dockets etc. my son drives like a little old lady with an egg on the accelerator. But thinking about it now, we fueled up after the sand driving course so it was all easy running down the Pacific Hwy below 100 90% of the time. Maybe the fueling was wrong, but that would have fouled the next read.
Will see what happens in convoy with the ho ha's 101 in June
But there is certainly a linear relationship, if not exponential between speed and fuel burn.

Hey AndyG, which cruise control did you put in? Does it work well?
Your highway figures of around 12l/100km at 110 km/hr are about the same as I get with no headwind in my 2014 2.2. ...but I would have thought we'd get better than that! My 98 Tdi can get 10l/100km at 110km/hr on highway! ...I keep hoping the new one will improve when run in, but at 19500km now I'm not sure it will....
