    Being new they had not yet stretched the rivets so there was no leak from the cap/main body interface - they were leaking from the welch plugs after a short drive after installation.

    Pat303, are you saying cold chisel the first two threads of each 5mm bolt? I'm using locknuts on the 5mm bolts. In regard to the cap/main body interface, I leave the 'o' ring in place, and over it lay a hand made oil paper gasket, smeared on both sides with Hymolar non setting goo, assemble and then go to work on tightening the 5mm bolts.

    You damage the first two threads on the screws that hold the cover plate on,they cross thread and never then come undone,don't buy the model with rivets,it's the cover that comes loose causing most of the issue's. Pat
