Comments to us, Gracie is 18ms old.
1. (as per prev),...How old is it?
2. ( " " " )....That's a beautiful restoration.
3. Didn't know they were still making them.
4. Get pulled up in breathalyser, & Cop just wants to talk about your Defender.
5. Pull up at lights, and driver next to you wants to talk.
Lots of other stuff. We've had a few nice cars, and we sure didn't own them to attract attention, but Gracie, whilst certainly not being the fastest, or the most expensive, has attracted more comment/attention than any other car that we've owned.
Pickles.
I've been pulled up by a cop to chat defenders.
You get a phone call from the Service Rep on the first Service, about these accessories you've fitted ...... , we wont tell LR:angel:
Yes young John, you graciously offered it for free and I seriously appreciated it so I offered a bottle of red in exchange, which I'm told you gladly drank :) - I wasn't told, I just made that up :) But mate, I smashed that up at Ourimbah on the infamous rock and consequently bent the steering track rod which made for an interesting drive home with both front wheels seriously toed out - that was the same day Lou and Ian bent up a rear trailing arm and someone in a Rangie and D3 also sustained damage. So I decided to make up something stronger. The $300 guard would have required a few mods to get it to fit with my alloy bull bar (that was bend too on the same day) hence my decision to make one - as I said, I should have bought it and made a few changes and I would have been ahead by about 1/2 day in labour - oh well, live and learn.
