To his credit he was extremely thankful and grateful, He pulled along side of me further up the beach to thank me for a 2nd time.

Pulled a few out myself. But it was in the tow car (pajero) pulled a fully loaded troop carrier with twin lockers bla bla.
    On cable beach.
I think the weight of the defenders help a lot on the beach. I hope when my disco gets bogged I hooe your there. To help me .

    Cheers Billy.

I winched a new vehicle out of the oncoming tide at Wedge Island one time with my Disco. What a day's fishing...... ☺ As his back wheels were in the water, that makes it a big fish. ☺
The heroes tried to snatch him out but couldn't.
So I skull draged him out with the winch. It would have been so much easier if he had stopped trying to use his wheels.

There were plenty of comments from the crowd about how the recovery was to be expected from the landy. After I draged him out.... But when I first offered help, the heroes had other comments.

So there seems to be a consensus out there that Land Rover's are the 4WD bench mark against which the others are held to. Hence the heroes' comments and the comments of the bystanders.

The best thing we can do is keep showing the others how good our Land Rovers are both off and on road.

    Yes longtimer.
Been driving rovers for over a year now.
I have taken my d1 and d2 places I have never been. Yes my other 4wd where getting paid off. Unlike my rovers . So that may make my judgements a bit on the higher side. But with the cdl on the d1vs the d2 it turns a limo into a off road weapon. Took some backpackers up to Mt namless the other day.
I heard the normal rover remarks. But on the way down., it was man this car is so smooth(trust me i was giving the 3.9 heaps).
And balance with the 100" chassis.
Reminds me of my mates old lada. Point shoot your over....lol.
Bang for you buck is of the scale..
I really should stop buying up all these bargains.
    If people keep baging them.
Good that means I can keep getting bargains.....
