Every driver's nightmare, so I sympathize and agree the diesel pumps should be separate, as at truck stops. Glad you're back on the road and hopefully all will be OK.

I believe they're designed so only the diesel nozzle is too big to go into an unleaded filler.

Sorry to hear about this Mr Landy, & I have come very close myself to doing this, but thankfully we are just down to the one petrol powered vehicle the RRC & I think that V8 may just about run on anything.

To prevent a similar Defender event I ordered & received my Defendoor's to today & highly recommend them.

I remember this was also a problem for piston twins back in the late 60's/early 70's when Turbo emblazoned piston twins hit the UK, & people started filling them with Jet A1 instead of 100LL. A few crashed and as a result the pump nozzles became a different diameter to prevent such disasters.

One might suggest it's the wrong way around.
