Activating the dashboard display in a Puma?

The Puma dashboard is used in other LR's such as the Disco and Freelander. In those vehicles a section of the dashboard display has been activated that is not active by default in the Defender. Does anyone know how to activate & configure this?

I'm not even sure there's an LED display on mine. You might have to get a freelander unit...

Not a Defender dash. The photo is stolen from Cambo's awesome build thread, so it is a Freelander2 display. I'm not sure if it can be done for a Defender or not. The display of the current gear in the ODO display did not go unnoticed either, so maybe something can be done there too?

Ancient? Mine is just 2 years old!

My guess is the Defender doesn't have the sensors to provide the information to the extra displays.
    Cheers, Billy.
    Keeping it simple is complicated.

I've got one of these. It worked fine in my 2011 Defender but in my 2013 Defender it would work some times, but other times it would interfere with the operation of the entire instrument panel - all the gauges would drop to zero whilst driving - so I removed it.

All the sensors are there as you can access them via the ODB II port using an Ultra Gauge or similar.

The centre LCD screen isnt actually installed in the Defender. If you look closely, you can see its blanked off and houses some warning lights instead.

An extra display would be handy though
