Just wanted to add some info on this - Apologies if some of this has already been mentioned.

This recall effects all vehicles within the Vin range LD405037 - LD443988 (2012 - 2013 models)

Exclusions and other information: If the vehicle has had a new service engine fitted under warranty already or if the engine identification number stamped at the back of the block is post 130909202010 then this recall does not apply.

The sump needs to be removed as part of the repair so Land Rover will also replace your oil & filter at no cost to you.

Stock of some parts are currently limited, however more stock will be arriving soon.

The expiry date is May 2017

We're in the VIN range and TOPIX confirms this service bulletin applies to our 90 but no sign of a letter yet, anyone else still waiting?

I'll drop the dealer a line this week and see what they say.

I've heard nothing yet either, I'm kind of hoping I won't, but I'm sure I will, within the next month.

I think you're right Pickles, the turbo hose letter appeared a loooong time after we heard about it here.

I knew I would not get a letter due to buying ours 2nd hand, all be it through a LR dealer.
I had mine done as ours is an escape machine and tows on most trips away.
The piece of mind knowing the pump has been done and it's not low on oil pressure under load was important to me.
It's only 5 minutes to ask or would you rather worry about the long term effects on the motor if you don't hear from JLR
    Cheers, Kyle

    Hi
Mine was done when I dropped it for an unrelated warranty claim Melbourne city rover.
Was told it is not a recall but is precautionary. I'm glad mine was done, but if you want it done looks like you'll have to ask, no point waiting for a letter as it sounds they aren't coming

I saw the article on the English forum about a month ago and contacted Trivettes in Parramatta as my VIN fell in that group, but was told, and showed, that no recall was made on that vehicle.Had an axle oil seal replaced last week under warranty and was told a recall was on my vehicle regarding the oil pump. Got a call that afternoon to say the vehicle would be ready to pick up the next morning as they had parts in stock. Guessing the letters will be arriving shortly.

    recall all done $ saved

    Hi,
Trivetts Parramatta did mine a few weeks ago and as I had the 20Kkm service done at the same time I saved on the cost of oil and filter. They also replaced the key fob battery but have had issues with that since.

All done in and out in 6 hours or so. I didn't wait for the letter cause my turbo hose blew before I got the letter regarding that. Couldn't imagine the dilemma if the oils pump failed.

I got a service reminder in the mail the other day with a proposed date tentatively booked for me. I rang today to change the suggested booking and I asked if they have the parts to do the oil pump recall work at the same time. They said yes, it's all here ready and waiting for you. This was my first contact with them since my last service a year ago - or was it for the Intercooler hose recall work? (Yes, I don't use the D90 as much as I should, as much as I'd love to, and haven't clocked up enough km to make the service distance driven. On the bright side it means my Series 2a has been going well)
So the D90 is booked in for a couple of weeks time for a full service and get the oil pump work done. Kudos to Southern Land Rover in Cannington for being prepared.
