Yes, a vehicle purchase is supposed to make you feel good for God's sake.

Another good experience showing all is not lost!!!
I recently bought my lovely 90 in Keswick Green from the best dealer I have ever dealt with,
John Patrick Prestige Cars... in Port Macquarie!
I bought it over the internet... the only Keswick Green 90 left available after Trivetts sold the one I was earmarked for lol!
Flew up to Port M to collect it. Picked up at the airport by the salesman, totally attentive. Car spotless and ready! All paperwork ready to go, full tank of fuel AND as a 'thank you', also a fine bottle of Shiraz, a box of chocolates and some other stuff for my other half!
A week later, I get a courtesy phone call, plus another call from the Dealer Principle making sure I was happy with my purchase. One minor issue I have is being dealt with with great courtesy and communication!
I can totally recommend this dealership! They still have some Defenders left and I believe, also an Adventure 90 Edition too!
Really disappointing to hear you are going through this. I found both Southern LR and Barbagellos here in WA really good. I ended up with the latter mainly because they were prepared to do my grille, light surrounds and interior dash in Indus silver (to make it like the silver pack).
I found Barbagellos also valued the Defender. All the staff were all over mine When I went to pick up my new car. The MD even came out to have a long chat and hand me a gift. I have a pic of my car coming out of the show room flanked by a Lamborghini and another super car and I felt like I was driving something even better out the door!
Anyway, I arms sure all this nonsense will get sorted and hopefully you will get the right end result.
Hmmm sounds like typical "end of month" behaviour from the salesman, usually under pressure from his boss.

This would be Melbourne Landrover I think, who is owned by the same person who owns ULR in Malvern, where we had the most delightful experience purchasing Gracie a couple of years ago.
Yes, there are indeed Dealerships who absolutely LOVE Defenders, and despite the showroom being full of Jaguars, Range Rovers etc,...and a Defender,..we always received the BEST of service, particularly from the service guys, who absolutely love 'em.
So, don't give up, the are Dealers out there who REALLY do love their Defenders,..REALLY.
Pickles.
I had a bad experience in Cairns the sales guy could not be bothered to return my calls. He would not answer his mobile or his main phone and would not return my messages. I decided to drive to Townsville which is over 4 hours away. Townville was amazing I could not ask for better service. I hope your problem gets resolved soon and you get the car you ordered.
Chris
Hi mate, if you end up pulling out of this situation I would suggest a relatively short drive north. I had an excellent buying experience at Pacific Land Rover on the Sunshine Coast. Don't know their Defender availability situation and I was buying a D4 but the main point is that it was a good honest transaction and not too far from Brisbane.
