    If you do go on car sales theirs a lovely little white VW UP for sale, just the total opposite of a LR but you could pretend!

    Yes I have been trawling carsales the last few months before I pulled the trigger with the dealer. There are good ones there - cheers.

    Must admit i've had a great run with Austral, apart from the service costs.

    FYI - They told me when I was in there that the whole dealership is moving to the new location in the next 6 months. Glad you've had a good experience with them. Someone deserves to!

    Need to say a big thanks to everyone on Aulro for their support, ideas and input during this saga.

    I've mentioned to a few of you in PMs that all the awesomeness from you Defender owners far, far outweighs a single bad experience with a dealer.

    I have cancelled the current deal and the dealer sent me a refund sheet this morning which I've filled out and returned. I've also been put in touch with another dealer by an Aulro member (not sure if they want it know who the are), who can give me a better deal and is already a million times better to deal with. Have started the process with them this morning.

    So again - thanks. I owe everyone a drink when I meet you out on the roads, tracks or water crossings.

    I have been following this saga in disgust at the way the dealer treated you. Even if the deal had proceeded you would always have had a bitter taste in your mouth when ever you returned for servicing or worse for warranty work.

    But what a wonderful outcome for you now. Cheers to all who helped.

    Glad you now have a promising outcome!

    Dealers like the mob you have dealt with deserve to go out of business imho... or have JLR pull the distributorship from them.

    The power of the internet in matters such as this is immense... not only have you got some great support and answers but there will be no doubt that lost business to that dealership from knowledge of this utter nonsense, will far outweigh any 'one off' cost they (maybe) had over your vehicle order.

    So! Looking forward to hearing and seeing details of your new purchase! :>)
