New silicone inter cooler hoses void warranty?

I have a 2014 Defender 90 that I've bought second hand. To prevent any limp home trouble for hose failure I'm considering replacing these with silicone hoses. However the warranty is still good for 16 months and thinking that replacing the hoses would void my warranty. Would that be correct?

only if it could be demonstrated that 1. the hoses were not of suitable quality or standard for the purpose required and that they failed and that their failure was a contributing factor to the method of failure that you are claiming against, and 2. they were installed in a professional manner and that the installation work was not sub standard and that the quality of the installation workmanship was not a contributing factor to the failure you are claiming against.

So that means that I could replace and not void the warranty?

you could, I just wouldnt let ramblingboy do it. the workmanship needs to be up to some kind of reputable level.

Best thing to do if its an aftermarket warranty is to ring and ask, if its factory ring LRA.
