On Darren (Dazza's) recommendation I've just started using Penrite HPR 5. Bought it from Supacrap at $175 for 20ltrs. Repco wanted around 202 bucks less 10% if you had an RAC card.

After warranty I've tried a few different oils on my 90. I first tried Valvoline synpower FE 5-30, then Penrite full synthetic 5-30 and now Penrite HPR 5-40. They all seem to be as good as each other and I'd use all of them again depending on what's cheaper at the time. They all meet the Ford spec.
I have read a number of posts on here about oils and DPF .......How can I tell if my 2015 defender 110 has a DPF or not ........I have checked the manual and it talks about how you need need to give your car a run to clear out the DPF.....
but nowhere does it tell me if my car actually has one ........reason I want to know is what oil to buy .....as some say not suitable for DPF
Very confusing
I think it does have a DPF but no doubt others will be along to confirm or deny that.
This has been covered...
No Defender for the Australian market are fitted with a DPF, even the very last ones are DPF free....if u plug ur VIN into the land rover portal it will list as EURO 4 (this is no DPF).
Pop bonnet, drivers side look at engine, you see exhaust manifold, there is a blanking plug on the top, this is where the DPF sensor would have been installed. Last model 2.2lt did have a different CAT though.

The last of the 2.2lt TDCi seem to have a different style of catalytic converter on the exhaust, to either filter more or more likely have the same physical dimensions as the DPF, making fitment of either for whatever market.
