No I didn't have to cut the grille it just clears, well it slightly touches but does not interfere with operation.

My previous Puma had the supercentre winch (can't remember the name of it) and that one had cut the grille.

Runva 11,000lbs you will be fine.

Hi Lou My super winch x9 will fit with a bit of cutting . The problem's there are two . The first is there strengthening webbing at the back sits a bit proud for my winch , not a lot , only a few mm no more than 10 . I can easily put some spacers that would work , or cut the webbing . May have to get longer bolts . The thing is by doing that I move the winch towards the grill . I could cut the lower part of the grill out , but I don't wont to do that . I know It doesn't do much down there . I think I can just about get my hand in the front to gain access to the spool lever . I Don't wont to turn it around 90* or 180* I don't like the idea of fiddling around under the bar . I'm going with making the whole bar come forward about 20mm and it should work out to what I wont . I don't use the winch much , but I do like to have It . It has come in handy when needed !!.. Jim

Jim this is basically everything we are experiencing with the smitty.

And we have toyed with the same ideas. Spacing out 20mm etc.

Lou Whatever I do I've got to take the winch back off , . I'm thinking either extend the two Chassis brackets , and re drilling new holes , or putting spacers between the bar and brackets . I do have a mate that can help me it's just that he lives a bit away from me , and we need to put our heads together and see what the easiest option would be . I going on an off road trip Queens birthday weekend , so need to pull my finger out !!.. Jim
