That looks pretty good. Isn’t the angle adjustable during installation? Did you bring the USB and HDMI ports out? Where do you have them?

i asked them to put the 2 ports on a plate and fit them in that largish blank below the temp knob. And as it looks like the hazard switch will be hard to get to, extend down to a switch blank beside A/C button.

Did you relocate the camera? Am suggesting mine be mounted beside the numberplate light to save it from semi regular dunkings at river crossings.

Been a big year - the above added to the new ATBs I put in all three diffs and HD flanges and shafts on all corners plus a new OEM front propshaft.


Driving up to Quirindi tomorrow (and back on Sunday) so I'm a little nervous about such major surgery but the boys at KLR are keeping him in for tonight so they can test thoroughly and I have every faith in them.

Fingers are still crossed though and if I touch wood anymore I shall get splinters.

Yep! I’ll have to take a look at mine and see if I can get it tilted back a little. And I had the usb mounted here as pictured. I didn’t have the HDMI done. But can you use an iPhone to HDMI on it? That would be mint!

Have a peek in the install manual... it shows the many possible adjustment points (in/out, up/down, and tilt forward/back).

If you have the horizontal in/out position set out far enough already, then the tilt adjustment is simple to do insitu... a plastic cover on each side needs to be removed, then loosen a screw on each side.... etc

I had the HDMI and USB put on the front panel (you can see it with dust cover closed - next to where I relocated the hazzard light switch).

IDevices can output AV in a variety ways with the appropriate lightning adapter. (Like this.... Lightning Digital AV Adapter - Apple (AU))

Yep your right! I’m not sure why the installer wouldn’t have done it from the get go... Anyways all done now and much better!

Finally decided I should wash the Winter Wombat mud off it...!
