Cold and Wet .

I agree the heater is superb.

Winter mornings in Canberra, even after scraping thick ice off the windscreen, I still find myself reaching to turn down the heater before I make it to work on my short commute :)

I only have a 15 min drive to work here on the Goldie and in that time the heater gets so hot I have to turn the fan off and just use the convection of air coming thru on outside air and the heat setting about 1/2 way round. Summer time it's a different story up here, the A/C struggles quite a bit with the heat and humidity. It does take a while to cool the interior down, especially with the heat radiating off the transmission tunnel. Before summer I am going to try a different refrigerant other than R134a, maybe one of the new hydrocarbons, you only need about 1/3rd of the original charge and the manufacturer claims 25-30% more efficient. ATM, I can only achieve about 9.5 degrees supply air temp compared to my wife and daughters cars of 3.5-4 degrees and they are only 1/2 the cabin size or smaller than my truck. When I get to it I will post some results.

Some heat shielding on the bottom of the plate under the console and the rear of the foot well makes a significant difference as does wrapping the exhaust pipe. Cheaper than regassing too.
