Yes that is it, I am not sure re 5/16 etc as it was fitted for me I will ask next Monday and take some photos of it on my truck as well over weekend and post up. I do know that they had to get from "joiners"/ ferules? made so it was airtight fit in the fuel line when they joined the fuel lines together as its a sealed system.
used it off raos lots of times as have pother people here and no problems with that either.
I see they now have changed the style of mounting etc a little and put a straight water trap up on the engine bulkhead and its up to you to check the water bowl for water. I see them on Ebay for US$ 131 plus shipping

I ordered one day, it shipped the next. Can't beat picking up directly from the source though.

Actually, I noticed in another thread that Wayne is in Port Augusta so I just ordered online myself. $185 including shipping, so that's cheap insurance against getting water in the fuel, diffs or transfer, I reckon.

Diesel Care sell a kit too

car getting repaird through insurance now.

I think I will invest in the breather kit and the racor filtre as well.

I have the diesel care kit with a 2um secondary filter. Install at home was easy (other than operator error undoing the fuel line). IIRC about $420 clams, but cheap insurance I guess.

The flow issue, IMO is a non issue. I [posted a video above about what sort of restriction to flow one can expect under load on a dyno. Of course filter blockages, a contamination event or too long a service life will restrict flow- but this is not a unique problem to the smaller micron filters.

The factory diesel tank breather is directly above the tank, and is in a ***** of a spot for water ingress. It does have a little inline one way valve on it, but this is more a token gesture than a foolproof design.
I also have nuggets kit, and that takes it up to the guard top level, but if I were doing lots of water crossings with water over the bonnet, I'd consider running all breather lines up inside the snorkel.

had a read of the diesel care kit site. Quite like it. I'll go nugget breather. then go care kit. Hopefully not go through this again lol

Best advice- solve the root cause- water ingress, then work on the filtration to catch the incidental contamination after that.
