Yes.......hopefully they are quick disconnect,

given we have a pop top they more than need to come off. passenger side bike would need to be removed as its the living side, driver may not get removed as often.

getting bikes on/off any 4WD is a mission...........my defer is now 160mm taller than most defers, plus roof rack, plus i'm trying to keep weight off the roof for the pop top struts

the long term planning is for when we spectate the 2020 tour de france, keep your eye out for the defender parked on the side of the road when the peloton flies past.

I found this website that is located in Germany that build overland Defenders in a similar way to Mulgo.

Search for the "katalog"

They have a bike carrier set up off the spare wheel on the back. Obviously you would need the spare wheel to be mounted off the chassis. This might be an easier alternative.

They have some cool ideas for interior fit out as well

I see what you mean, I got the SD roll cage doing that job. :) Technically, it is only a "Ladder Rack" according to the Engineer, as I didn't fit the internal bar.

I just bought a bike rack for the Mog and Discovery - ISI one that fits on the towbar. They seem to have a good reputation. The mog one is the biggest they make to clear the sloping rear and bag etc.
The bikes will be higher up than most but it folds down so we can get to the rear compartment. If we are stopping for any length of time, I'll unbolt it and use it as a bike stand :)

Weeds, we always look out for the Defenders parked along the TdF route, yours should stand out quite well.
