Hi Witchdoctor - this looks to be a great bit of kit. How much did it set you back?

Just an update on the Alu-Cab RTT.
Spoke to Leeroy from GlobalSat regarding the main awning being short & allowing water to run onto the person climbing the ladder.
As the QLD agent they understand this as a design issue and are happy to rectify the problem.
I feel much better after speaking to Leeroy.
Walshy25,
The basic hard tent starts at $3900 & goes up from there depending on extras.
They do super slimline solar panels for the roof, load bars, side tie downs, reading lights & storage pocket.
They do an awesome fold out shower tents in a pouch.
They are also agents for Frontrunner gear
GlobalSat are great people to deal with.
My purchase consists of their Expedition RTT, Shadow 270 deg pole free awning, Frontrunner slimline camp table that mounts under the RTT & shower tent.
Cheers
Dave
Interesting......'Queensland agent.....Happy to rectify a problem'

Please explain?
Money will be involved to fix the issue. I'm not that naive
My Bundutop arrived today.
It's huge, and plenty of room for two inside.
As it's all electric, believe it or not, I had to 'jump start' my tent! True. That's why the van is so close.
Some brain surgeon has put a hole in the Alloy floor, probably with a fork lift. I've knocked it back into shape, will pop rivet a patch on both sides and lots of silicone, it'll be good as new. It's too much mucking around to get back to the company.
Either way, Ian at Bundutec Australia was very good to deal with. I highly recommend this product to anyone who wants a 20 second up and down, no set up or pack up roof top tent.
Photos of the install once I can get a mate to help me get it on to my Rhino rack.
Best wishes all.

Can I ask are rooftop tents hot if there's no breeze, or is it possible to connect your aircon via a tube... or is that just soft.
Yep, soft Ray!
As the tent comes with both LED lighting and power points, I could fit a Sirocco type fan should I wish, but the beauty of a RTT is that you can get what ever breeze is available, as opposed to being on the ground. The roof is insulated as well.
I don't think it'll be too big an issue for me.
Best wishes mate.
Ken
WooHoo!
My mate Charlie (A big man) from the next property came over just now and we managed to get the Bundutop on the roof.
I'll work out what position is best, re all forward or to the rear, and bolt it down this morning.
Very happy!
Ken
