			LT230 Diff Lock Issue

Hi everyone, I'm having an issue with the centre diff lock in my defender.

When driving on non-challenging dirt roads with the diff lock engaged the light stays on as normal and all is well.

However, if I'm cross-axled and rocking back/forward to try to get some traction, the light will come on and off.

I'm wondering if this might be an electrical issue or if the diff lock is actually disengaging and reengaging.

For some context, the transfer case was rebuilt when the previous owner still owned it, about 10 000kms ago, but judging by the amount of whining from it and the mount of swarf on the drain plug when I drained it, it was a poor rebuild.

The car also has some electrical issues, such as the handbrake light being independent of the actual handbrake and the abs/tc not working, hence why I'm thinking it could be an electrical fault.

 Thanks in advance

sounds like it is not engaging properly and needs to be checked inside before damage can occur
