I agree with DiscoMick. Spinning wheels are not the best way to achieve transferring available torque against the ground. Spinning wheels don't convert traction to momentum efficiently. Traction control is why modern landrovers even an Evoque are excellent off-road despite the handy cap of no low range.
Go on youtube and look up the Defender and a Raptor I think it is video,you can hear the axle tramp from the Raptor yet nothing from the Defender,it's more than just traction Control effecting the outcome.
It wouldn't be because the Defender ute had some hidden weight in the ute section that we don't see ?? Just asking :)

I have a neighbour who drives a new lifted 70 series Tojo and he's always ribbing me about my own choice of Ute. Gotta show him this!
Fella's, that's a 110 Ute (I'd say a Hi-cap). Unless something changed in the last years of Land Rover production, I'd say it probably doesn't have traction control. The heavy-duty optioned trucks like Hector and all the 130's don't. Could that be a factor?
I assume the Toyota does have traction control....
Its likely the Land Rover in the clip is in first low (anti-stall), look at the speed of progress.
