    Tow Bar 1999 TD5 110

    Hello,
I'm having real trouble finding a tow bar to fit my TD5 1999 110.
When I bought it it came with a pintle hook for lunette ring, us usually used by military or farming.
It was also way too high up for a standard ball joint.

So, my issues is that there looks to be only one option now available and that's a heavy duty tow bar from hayman reese. $600 and about $250 to fit it.
    Hayman Reese - 01974R - haymanreese

An option was the original part Adjustable tow bar with part number LR007222, but Ive since been told by ARB in Penrith that this won't fit.

Can people out there with a TD5 1999 model tell me what your tow bar looks like? Id love to see some pics and even better if anyone got one recently fitted.
    any help appreciated.
    Craig

LR themselves can also supply but will be same as Hayman Reese and likely a rebadged one of theirs.
I think you will find there wont be too many in Australia that produce them though will surely be some UK brands.

Hi Craig I have a 1999 110 it has a Hammond Reese tow bar , I was going to fit to my 110 Puma anyway I decided to fit a new tow bar . Land Rover were the best price for a bar after phoning around . It will fit your 110 plus it comes with all the right bolts and the electric socket and lead . So why not give a dealer a call and get a price , they would want to get rid of there stock now and you should be able to negotiate a good price . Also they are the easiest bar on the market to fit , I hope this helps . Jim

thanks for your reply Jim on the tow bar for your 1999 110.
just for clarity, did you have a Hammond Reease installed on your 1999 110?, or was it the Landrover official bar? or did you mean LandRover gave you a good price on the Hammond Reese?

If you did get the Hammond Reese installed, what happened to the back fold down step?
Looks like both can't occupy the same area?
If you meant the LR official part, do you know the product number?
    cheers
    Craig

Anyone else lose their back step after installing a tow bar?
