No worries. Can I ask if your Long Ranger tank is 120 litres?

Thanks. I've been trying to find out the size of mine.

The towbar plate is hard to read, but appears to be:

    Tow bar part no. 01R012
    Tongue part No. 5163
    Towing 3500
    Towballl 250 kg.

    Hope that helps.
I can't find anything on the fuel tank to give it's size.

Apparently I have a Trailboss tow bar. It was fitted when I bought it.
The Trailboss site calls it a QTRV16.
So that could be another option to investigate.

Interesting, when I fitted long range tank and towbar to my County I figured it was minor differences between County and Defender but I had to trim the tow bar arms to get it to fit as well as some other minor grinds in corners. Far from a direct fit.

Long range tank: Long Ranger 120 TR40

I had never heard of Trailboss until I cleaned the dirt off mine and read the writing.

    from memory......
    127lt is for a TD5 Defender.
125lt is for a TDCi (puma 2007 on) Defender.

*The first tank I fitted to a TDCi (puma) Defender, I had issues where the location tab on the sender assembly / fuel pump assembly compared to the provision on the tank. The TDCi (puma) Defender has the location tab 90 degrees round further compared to a TD5 Defender. I like I'm sure others have done is to cut the tab off.

*Long Ranger admitted at the time that they hadnt actually fitted one of their tanks to a TDCi (puma) Defender, this may not be the case now and they may well have provisioned the tab recess in the correct spot.... or not.

*The pic I posted is one of many a new Defender that I've fitted out, some customers do it all at once, some doing it progressively. Either way most spend less on fitting out their Defender than other customers spend on fixing their Discovery 4s

    Regards
    Daz

P.S With the Long Ranger tank fitted, the fuel tank gauge will barely move for a very long time, careful you dont get caught out, but that 1000km's should now be well achievable

Lol, like it. 320km so far and the gauge hasnt moved, thx for the heads up on that, I have been watching it today. Hopefully i can get the towbar sorted this week. ARB are telling me the 1974R is only current till 07 models with this tank.

My Puma does up to 450 kms before the gauge moves, so you may have a bit further to go.
