According to the LR experience guys, it is an automatic version of downhill assist. youll find that your car should idle up when creeping forward (small increase to 850-900rpm) to provide maximum engine braking.

Anyone have any egt figures on the BAS 170 tune?
Hi Baytown, Can you give an update on your thoughts between the Alive tune you had and the AB 170 BAS tune, really un decided which way to go [bighmmm]
Hi Danny.
Ive had the BAS 170 tune on the vehicle for a few months now, highway driving, a bit of town driving, and some very heavy off road trips.
I love it. I can’t remember what the vehicle was like without it but either way, it’s just a pleasure to drive with no issues.
Its no V8, but it feels so much more than a 2.2 in a heavy 4x4 as well.
I can tow my off road caravan at 100kms all day comfortably.
Id go with the BAS vs Alive, just for Pete’s after sales service and support. I contacted a Alive with a question and received no reply. Maybe a one off, but Pete was great.
Just do it!
Ken
So, have you guys fitted upgraded intercoolers?
Pickles.
BAS previously offered a second spare ECU as part of a group buy deal... would anyone be interested in asking whether BAS would be able to offer this again? Means that you keep your original ECU with original factory tune as a spare. ...Not sure if BAS would be able to do this or not, but if enough AULRO members signed up to a group buy, you never know...?
