I applied it to some of the engine bay connectors on the Z without issue. But not sure if it's a good idea for more sensitive connections- especially in newer vehicles.
The headlight connectors on the landy were a bit muddy and cruddy, to the extent that they were not making a solid connection. I think the dielectric grease would be OK in that situation... but for me the jury is out on things like electric throttle, AFM, MAP, etc...

I am a fan of braided brake lines, definitely worth the investment I reckon, and hadn't thought of that -thanks. I'm going to bleed through and replace the brake fluid, so that would be a good time to swap them out.

I haven't done it yet, but it's on my list.
My son got his Hilux done by this crowd for about $550 and is happy with the results.

ACF-50 is the only product i will use for anti corrosion .
My car had Dintrol on it when i bought it and in my opinion it is just a big waxy mess. Nuts ,bolts,rubber boots,wires and connections all gummed up with a dirty ,oily ,waxy coating. Horrible to work on.It has no rust though!
I now use ACF-50 that i got from an aircraft supply shop. A few months ago i bought a new motorbike and gave it a good spray before i even left the garage for the first time.
It is a clear finish and so you can still see the chassis etc when you are working on the car or checking everything is ok.
After much work i have removed most of the Dintrol from mine and now just do touch ups with the ACF if im heading to the beach or if i have given it a heavier than normal wash underneath. Great stuff. Google it!

Mine has been a great vehicle! Its done nearly 400K and with what I've put it through and what its required mechanically, I'm amazed!

Thank you all, great advise for sure. Fantastic to hear how many big k's some of them have done. I'm really pinning my hopes that mine has been looked after as well. It's certainly not perfect body wise, but so far, I'm pretty happy with it mechanically. Stupid thing is I also have a RR Evoque, a Brutale and a Hunter scooter, and what do I drive everyday? :wacko:
