Put money on it being the slave cylinder. Same happened to me and the great thing is it is inside the bell housing so you need to drop the box to fix it up
So,
MY 2016 110, 25000Km's jump in the car for the morning chaos of school dropoffs , press the clutch pedal.........straight to the floor with Zero pressure.
Mmmmmmmm, maybe it's just the return spring. Lifted pedal with toe of foot and repressed pedal..straight to floor with no pressure and cannot get into gear.........Bugger!
Rooted!
Tow truck on way.
Stay tuned.

Thank Goodness it's under Warranty.
Hopefully by the time warranties expired the problems have too!

Well so far I've had two calls from the dealer to indicate they've received said vehicle, but,.....................haven't yet looked at it!
Insurance Co sent round a Freelander, and wouldn't you believe it,....It had a brake fluid leak. So they sent a loan vehicle for the loan vehicle a nice Disco Sport.
SWMBO is very impressed, she seems to think that road/engine noise is less important than a nice stereo and leather seats, and an auto tailgate, and nifty performance etc,etc,etc.........I'm on a hiding to nothing!!

Ok, So LR rang and said the car is fixed. Got it home and it's now steadily dripping fluid from a line above transmission.........Frustrating.
Back to the dealer on the back of a flatbed, and back to the loan car..

So yesterday I received a call from their Service Dept,
Them; "How satisfied are you with the repair of your vehicle"?
Me; "I'm unable to answer that Q as I had to return the vehicle as the repaired part now functioned however it also leaks Clutch fluid"
Them; "Oh,.really".
Me; "Yep"
Them; "oh"

OK, so I've had the car back and used for a total of three days, and Yep,.....you guessed it Clutch has lost all fluid ........towed away.
I'd even explained to them where it was leaking from.
I know, I know it's all part of the 'Defender' Journey.
Not very Impressed with Austral's servicing capabilities.

Ensure that the clutch pedal height is correct when taking delivery. Otherwise the pedal goes through to a condition similar to the "overcentre" fee of an over adjusted mechanical clutch. Becomes PiA!
Mine has to go beck for that re-adjustment, Well they were going to come and pick it up, and try as much as possible to not inconvenience me. However, immobiliser module change out changed all that.
For proper clutch pedal height see .pdf attached
Cheers

Just adding to this, I've been getting estimates of the cost of replacing the clutch in my 2009 Puma (not under warranty) as it is rattling on idle and so far the results are:
- $1500-2000 for a LR replacement clutch, depending on if the slave cylinder needs replacing
- $2500 for a heavy duty clutch
I would also get them to check the output shaft for significant wear and, if it needs replacing, I'm told that could be $800-1000.
Obviously this involves a day's labour and I want to do it once and get it right. The original clutch was replaced at about 50,000 kms by the previous owner under warranty and now its rattling again, so I'd like to do it right this time.
Do these figures sound in the ballpark?
