how about Last weekend of Jan then? I suggest a drive from cave to cave through dingo dale - Kanangra-Boyd lookout - lithgow - etc etc

Also any experienced expedition leaders to lead the trip and show up a few tricks along the way would be fantastic.

That could work, I have an uncle in Katoomba, so might visit him before / afterwards.
Are you taking family with you? Mine may or may not be keen to come roving, but pretty sure they'll want to come up to the mountains to see Uncle.
I haven't done anything off road up there, so no good as a leader, but happy to follow along.

I'll try to stay in touch as I'm flat strap atm and then have to try to get sorted for Tassie on the 27th; yoicks, not much time left!!

I’d be interested in a day out but any time in January is unlikely at this stage as we have relos out from the UK until early February.

By the time you do the round trip from Sydney, Caves to Caves is a pretty long day. You might want to think about camping somewhere along the way.

I am up for anything and yet to do caves to caves.
also hoping to have a new defender by then.. One i can actually sleep in.

Is this open for anyone or just deefers? I'm keen but who knows if I'll actually make it

I would be interested. Done this a few times before but usually include yerranderie in the loop and camp over there which adds extra interest otherwise it is a very long day if starting in Sydney.
