I bought a APT binnacle mount a few weeks ago and fitted it. Was a bit fiddly at first since I'd misplaced by stumpy phillips screwdriver and quarter inch rachet. Once I got them back again I was racing. In true landrover tradition I had to pull off more dash than I expected, to get to it, and then I had to file out a couple of the holes a little, just as the crappy original ones had been filed out. Not a big job though.

Then I fixed my broken binnacle tab with Q-bond but found a second crack somewhere else as soon as I refitted it. Not sure how long I can hold off buying a metal binnacle.

    Cheers

I looked at the APT but went the fill raptor solution.

I see Rijidij is also developing a solution.

My metal dash and binnacle are in the prototype stage at the moment. I’m hoping to fit one to my County over Xmas.

    That looks awesome Murray
I can't really see from the photos, but is there an opening between the top of the flat plate and the surround to let air from the vents through like the original plastic one?

This prototype one hasn’t got any air gap, but I can add slots or similar once I’m happy with the gauge layouts.
I also want to leave space for additional warning lights, such as front and rear diff locks etc

I bought the raptor binnacle and mount...expensive..but now i can get in there if needed without the plastic garbage cracking and breaking up. I'd recommend doing both binnacle and mount. Easy to fit as well.

That looks good Murray. I'll be watching this with interest as mine needs replacing too. I'll be going the Raptor route for the centre of the dash where the radio mounts.
