That’s where I intend to install ours. But actually mount it inside that opening behind there.

My standard UG is mounted on a metal bracket in the same place as V8. I also have a wireless OBD2 device if I need to log data. The standard Ultragauge with a standalone display is a winner
Recently I was able to clear faults and limpmode, with the UG,on the fly, to get home with a leaking intercooler hose. Could also monitor turbo tboost to avoid limpmode. It was a slow trip but avoided a tow. The other great feature is being able to set hilo alarms on critical engine parameters

Mrs Tombie isn’t too happy about me taking to her dash!
Not very intuitive, but once setup can give you a few options to play with. I like the screen realestate.
