Finished the Exmoor console and Mud UK box. Had the Mud UK dash pod laying around for a while. So mounted that up. Got to finish the fuse box in the Mud UK box. Fit the Engine Watchdog to the Mud UK dash pod.

Not sure if the threads match the ARB fittings but may be able to adapt.

Do you keep the metal lid on the seat box or just the seat base. I am just wondering how hot it gets in there if the lid is on and the compressor running.
I have kept the lid on and resisted packing the rest of the box with spares or recovery gear which should give the compressor plenty of air around it to cool. Plus the remote breather comes in from the main cabin were the 'awesome' TD5 aircon will be keeping it cool. What did you do on your Defender today ? (well, this week anyway)

Thanks for the tank suggestion will look into it.

    Cheers Discofender

Got the carpet this morning and some aluminium trim for the front and rear edge
Had a call out during the day so just got the drawers finished and mounted

I’ve left the seats in as the dog usually lays on one when going to and from the farm
She seems to enjoy laying on the carpet so we’ll see how she goes when we go down south
I’ve enough carpet and trim left over to cover the wheel arches so that is a job for Ron (lateR on)What did you do on your Defender today ? (well, this week anyway)

    Better get back to packing

Got the kids on board, give it a wash, prep the roof for painting. Had this sitting in the front yard for a year untouched, need to get it on the road.

Retrimmed my headlining ready for my new roof console.

Don't tell the Mrs, but I recovered it with a winter polar fleece blanket, that was put away for the summer.
Worked perfectly and the texture is super fine. no wrinkles and it conforms well to the shape of the headlining.

This is the Mud Uk one. Only took a week from order to arrival in NZ. I thought that was rather fast giving the current lock down over there.

Been under the car all night giving the handbrake a new cable and brake shoes, spent at least 2 hours trying to get these circular spring clamp things in alone, no doubt designed by satan himself!DSC_0962.jpeg

They are an absolute mongrel to reattach. I did mine last year, the neighbourhood learnt some new swear words.
