I removed lichen growing on the roof near one of the alpine windows.
I was tempted to let it spread over the entire roof but I won't live that long.
As it is an outside Defender it has become a thriving ecosystem between cleans.

Yesterday I spent the guts of 6 hours sitting in the Puma. No the wife did not come to her senses and throw me out. Our daughter who has special needs had to get some dental work done and it needed to be done under anaesthetic. So we made the hour long drive to the hospital. She went in at 10 am and got out at 4.00 pm. My wife was allowed in until the anaesthetic took effect, then joined me in the Puma. Owing to Covid we could not sit inside the building. It was a cold wet day but worth it in the end. My wife got a call about 2.00pm to go in as they were finished but it was 4.00pm when they got out as they waited those two hours for the anaesthetic to wear off. Needless to say the heater was on maximum for the 40 mile journey home. We were concerned as there were risks involved but the work needed to be done. I did not sit with the engine running so Greta will be pleased to hear that. I got out every so often for a stretch but owing to the wind and rain it was a bit self defeating! Anyway our daughter is in fine form so we are thankful it was not cancelled due to Covid. A lot of medical procedures are being cancelled due to staffing issues.
Replaced the 3 way indicator / light switch. Got to love the Defender simplicity.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...487c27bcd4.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...3cc3c80883.jpg
When I did this I found that try as I might I could not get the steering wheel centred. I took to carrying a hammer, a piece of wood and a socket set. When I was out driving it and stopped I'd remove the steering wheel and move it a few splines then drive and see how it sat. Took a few times to get it bang on. The wife would go shopping and I'd remove the steering wheel in the car park and refit.
Tescos now offering Mechanical Repairs.
Just finished installing a double din Alpine ILX 702D with camera module for three cameras. Foot well lighting(turned full just for show, quite dim in reality) both front and back. Rear, side and front axle cameras. Duel needle air pressure gauge for supply and diff lock pressure. Led lighting installed for heater, fan, recycle, and air vent control.
Really pleased so far.
