Pleased to report my 1997 tdi disco has done nearly 61000 my near identical spare disco has done 280000. Drives like new. Needs an injector pump rebuild and windscreen so is an uneconomical project unless i wreck my good disco.

I would expect the odometer error to be almost the same on every one with standard tyres since it is just a matter of gearing in the equipment.Quote:

The odometer on my 130 tdi big cab always read .5 km more over the 5 km test that I’ve done a few times, so I think both my speedo/Odometer were out 10%
There is a 21 tooth green cog that should be about 5% different to the blue cog
Oh yeah go on... my 300Tdi would have almost 400,000 on it if I hadn't grabbed a Puma a couple of years ago...already 80,000 on it! ...Blimey I'm getting old!Quote:
