I have been quoted $140 per tyre, inc. a new tube and fitting down here in Canberra. That was for the 225/95 Road Grippers.
Was going to go ahead with that with some 110 rims I had laying around, but ending up finding some near new 235/85 Bridgestone Dueller M/T's.
I'm still keen to give the Road Grippers a run, just need to find another set defender wheels [bigwhistle]
Tyres fitter reckoned they would have done onto the disco 1 rims, so maybe easier to find a set of these
For the price of these tyres it’s well worth it to have them as a spare set and save the muddies for when required [emoji481][emoji481][emoji481]
Just completed 1100km drive around the southwest over the weekend on the new 225/95/16 dueller fronts, gripper rears
Felt steady as ever not the road, no difference to the 235/85 continentals
Didn’t feel any rougher even though pressures were 10psi higher than the 235s
Great on the gravel, the weather changed on Sunday morning and had the rain pelting down all the way from Pemberton to Pinjarra, the rear end give way a little going through a back street roundabout in Bunbury with just under a tonne of camper pushing but the duellers grabbed when power was applied and drove away nicely (only the missus had an oh **** moment, the eldest boy and myself had a bit of a grin our faces)
Fuel economy was maybe a little better on road 23l/100k but the average was what I usually get of around 25l/100
Didn’t get a chance to take the old girl on the beach as the family wanted to visit the gnomes in gnomesville https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...d56298f961.jpg and other touristy things (well I had to try the local brew.... at only two or three ................................ maybe four breweries)[emoji481][emoji481]
I’ll get her in the back paddock this weekend at the farm and see how they go in the soft sand (and maybe a play in the mud out the front)[emoji12][emoji12]
Overall so far, good value for Toyota throw away cheese cutters

I've had these for a while as well.
Noticed slightly better take off speed compared to the wrangler mud terrains, probably lees weight so less rolling resistance. They do bulge on the black sawtooth rims even at higher psi, I took photos and the wheel to tread distance is about the same on both the wranglers 235/85 and the new 225/95. So i guess what u make for in profile u lose due to the bulge.
They are bloody cheap so as everyone else has said worth it whilst u save for the expensive muddies. Next question is which muddies?
Interesting reading... What width rim are people using? The std 7inch rim?
Just wondering when u air down offroad as to whether they would roll off the bead easier on a 7" rim than a skinner rim?
I'm running them on 6.5 rims with no issues when aired down.

I've got them on my Defender with 7" Disco 1 steel rims. Went up the Hay River Track in the Simpson earlier this year and had pressures down at around 14-15 lbs at times, no issues.
I have mine on the standard 5.5 inch tube style rim running as tubeless.
Was down to 12psi front and 20psi rear loaded for overland and driving like a lunatic through the Anne Beadell. No issues hitting ruts at an angle etc.

Handy to know how low you have gone without trouble
I’ve not gotten stuck so haven’t needed to go below 20psi
