I'm pretty sure the electronics have nought to do with interior lights. If you have power at the light & bulb is working, then the light should be permanently on if the door switches have no effect. It doesn't make sense.
A few years back I removed the headlining to repair the sag. Yesterday I realised I was never going to fix it so I paid a guy to come and do it During the time the lining was out the interior lights were disconnected. Now that the lining is back and they are connected they are not working. I have 12V at the bulb but operating the switch has no effect. I gather that they are switch by an earth connection but it may be controlled by the vehicle electronics. During the time they were disconnected I obtained a Nanocom original and activated the vehicle alarm. Could I have somehow interfered with the interior lights when I did that? Or can someone suggest another cause.
To recap, the bulb is fine, there is 12V at the light fitting but the light does not turn on by the switch or by the door activation.
Thanks,
Howard

Howard, the control for the interior lights is in the security module (as10).
You may have disabled it.
With a nanocom or similar you will need to go into the as10 settings and see what is selected.
Be very careful if you change any settings as there are quite a few.
There is a PDF floating around on the net for the as10.
Search ‘Lucas as10 PDF , or something like that, I think it is a Blackbox PDF.
Also check that all the door buttons that control the light are coming out when the door is opened.

I thought I was wrong once, but I was mistaken.
Thanks for the comment and lead to data, Paul. I have tried to set it up with the Nanocom but there seems to be an issue with the AS-10. The alarm fault light keeps flashing and the immobiliser warning light stays on even though the alarm functions and the engine runs fine. I can turn off the fault light with the Nanocom but there is nothing I can do about the immobiliser warning. In fact when I use the Nanocom to test things, e.g. temp gauge, that works fine with turn on/off but not for that darned immobiliser light.
I have it booked in at the LandyCentre in Cairns on Tuesday week for an intercooler repair and I know they have the tough books with the LR software so I will see if they can check it out for me.

I am sure Rene will get it sorted.
Cheers,
