    Front seat replacement options

I'm thinking about replacement seat options for the 130. Whilst stock seats are OK, I'm after something that has adjustable lumbar support (preferably electric). Anyone know what seats I should look for (probably from the wreckers or online)?

    Talking exmoor seats

We fitted some exmoor LR seats with pump up lumbar support to our then new130 puma before doing long drive to Kimberley--great but not free- came from LR specialist in Mulgrave Sydney.

I was thinking of options on this a while ago. I'd love a set (or driver side only) Recaro/Saas/Sparco etc but the obvious problem is they don't have a removable base. You could empty out whatever s in there and relocate and add a drawer (which might not be the most practical solution or put in a base to sit the seat on but hinge the base at the back by engineering a frame down to the structure. Its a lot of faffing around (and probably hideously expensive and time consuming) but how else to get around he lift off base.

A long time ago I had a set of Allfa Sud seats in my WB panel van. They sat really low (too low) but would be great in a Defender given the thin base the seats have.

OR find some used seats from the wreckers with electric lumbar support, like I did in my old troopy. I reckon I can mount them using large bolts at the rear to allow the whole seat to tilt back, with an engineers approval.

I had a quote for Stratos Seats last week, using the part numbers from Stratos' website for 110s.

    Suspension seats $2,882 each
    Static seat $2,484 each.

    Plus install.

I wasn't concerned about removable bases as my 6x6 has fuel tanks under both seats, so didn't ask if they were removable or not.

My taste in cars doesn't seem to allow for nice things for said cars.

Find a wrecked Puma and pinch the seats?
Add extended seat runners and you're away.
We have added some seat covers with extra padding we bought in Autobarn to ours, as The Navigator wanted extra padding (happy wife equals happy life, as they say), although I was quite happy with the standard seats, which are firm and supportive.
    Each to his own.
