Who knows you might be right, So will you still wave? Im sure the first defender in 84 was an abomination to series owners, and for some may well still be. Looks about 50/50 on this thread will be waving at this point, ill be waving at you Will it deserve the Defender wave?

Its interesting whilst I agree with your take on the origins of the wave, regarding the LR wave, being a RRC owner it goes beyond defenders/series, its got a very high success rate with the RRC's and also quite a high defender to RRC rate of waves, moreso if they have mods.

Its pretty cool either way, Ill keep it going no matter what LR I drive, as we say when anyone doesn't return it, they are just being trained for next time Will it deserve the Defender wave?

Don’t need to draw a line or pick ........defenders all look the same when approaching so quite easy.

Personally, I reckon the type of people that will shell out for them mostly, will be newbies to the marque, trying to gain a bit of street cred and possibly fit 21" rims and lowered suspension, and won't understand or acknowledge the "Defender wave".
    What do you guys think?
I don't think that I've ever seen any Land Rover with lowered suspension - well, other than when I've had mine on the bump stops.

Will it deserve the Defender wave?

No way,cos it isn't a "Defender" as we know it.

FWIW,you would be surprised how many waves you get driving a series vehicle, from other Series vehicles drivers, and Defender drivers.

The year I lose my license for bad eyesight likely because I won't be able to recognize what it is to which I am vs. am not waving. Will it deserve the Defender wave?
