    Here's my effort of similar damage to drivers door of Defender. Not a bullet though, happened while parked in my garage and is result of a grinding wheel (Frap disc) disintegrating.

    Those are 'Speed Holes'. They make the car go faster.

    I showed a few people it today and no one can really explain it either. Had a couple of people also wonder about small meteorite. Went back and had a look roughly where I was parked but can’t find anything.

    I did look at the time as I thought maybe it was a bullet but could not find anything.

    Looks like it will just remain a mystery.

    Oh, I thought it was a whistle hole to keep kangaroos away.
    It doesn't work.

    My camper trailer has an in-out hole and grazed Velcro in the front of the canvas .
    The PO said it was from when she was at a Skeet shooting tournament and her father was sleeping with his head about 200MM below.
    It is obviously a .22 so not related to the Skeet shooting.
    Goes to show that when your number is up it is up and when it isn't it isn't.

    cannot open it to get photo at the moment as some ***** has parked me in again.

    Were you under or near trees, and was it windy? It looks like a stick has hit it, arrow fashion.

    Hi

    Not very likely, but it could have been a TeV range cosmic particle, a WIMP or a micro black hole.

    "Once you eliminate the impossible, whatever remains, no matter how improbable, must be the truth."
    Arthur Conan Doyle

    TeV = Terra electron volt.
    WIMP = Weakly interacting massive particle.
