Hi all,
Just thought i would share my fun recently.
My 90 has had an easy life with only 61000k on her.
On my way home from work last week i heard that awful crunch of the now diagnosed rear shaft.
For those interested she had been making some awesome clunks on the way to work that morning along with the TC light coming on very faintly when taking off. No other issues with her until this day.
After a tow truck ride i have now just ordered a Ashcroft replacement and ATB to put this problem to bed.
Cheers Nick
This happened on our '13 90 at around 48,000ks.
Only warning was a slight sort of "click" (obviously part of spline collapsing)n which was felt through the whole car, and the a total loss of drive a few ks later.
When repaired, there was no difference to any "clunks" driveline noises etc.
Pickles.
Which shaft is this? output from gearbox to transfer case or something else?
Just had an Ashcroft set put through my 110, its a lot nicer now and the old one that was recalled and allegedly lubed up was ready to fail again.
