    Any thoughts

    Hi

The first Defender search continues. Wife is stick of hearing about it. "just go an bloody buy one, and shout up" are her words.
She just doesn't understand the privilege, it will be for her to be chauffeured around in a Defender.

Anyway its not a ute, dreams of a 130 or single cab, may be over. Good ones rare as rocking horse #$%&.

Thoughts on this from the guro's.

Seems a lot done, not sure if that is a good or bad thing.
What about the price? What would be a realistic offer, without insult.

    Thanks again.

Hopefully one day I will shout up. Doubt it. Once I own one I will have more questions than ever

very hard to give comment on someones vehicle without sighting it , the question you probably need to ask is what to look for and check , one things for sure when you buy one of these you feel a part of something special when you drive past your fellow defender driver you will understand .hope the search goes well

There’s also a 130 for sale on here, might be worth a look.

The 140,000 kilometres is low for a 15 year old one.
What are those things on top of the front mudguards?
Check the chassis for rust. Also pull up the front floor mats and see what is underneath. Do the opera windows leak?
Does the transmission work and sound OK?

It’s a little weird - it has a snorkle (drivers side) but also another filter on the passenger side?

As for the box - I know that on military land rovers they are part of the radio setup....

    That’s worth a look IMO
The jewellery alone ( roof rack, bar, lights, winch, drawers) would cost you $5k to buy new, tyres look good and are BFG 235/85/r16 by the looks of it. Great tyre.
The filter on the passenger side is a filter for the internal air (aircon).
It would be easily removable as is the Army (British) aerial mount on the drivers side
Good luck. It won’t last long.
